A major search of the River Severn in Buildwas was carried out yesterday following reports of a possible person in the water.
A member of the public reported seeing a person in the river by Buildwas Bridge yesterday afternoon.
West Mercia Police said the river was very fast flowing and Officers attended the Buildwas Bridge and other locations in effort to confirm the sighting.

PCSO Jacqui Fletcher and Mal Goddard attended the bridge and the Fire Service and Police Helicopter were mobilised to extend the search.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service launched their boat in an effort to locate the possible person.
The search was called off just before 6pm, nothing was found.
