The acts will include Beth Prior, a demure acoustic soloist as well as an organiser of the day event and singer-songwriter Heidi Browne, who’s currently recording her second album, whilst touring the UK with her soulful original music inspired by her time in Paris.

Headlining the event is The Gregory S. Davies Band, who’s fresh Americana sound has seen their Album Santiago receive extensive airplay, with their single ‘Rat-Trap’ being announced Radio Shropshire’s song of the month.

Dave Yates, Manager at Frank bar said “We had heard about the event taking place during the day and were very keen to fully support it and be involved in such a great cause, we are very excited about the line up and are also adding some unique twists to make sure the night’s a massive success”

Annie Bebbington, Bens sister and organiser of the evening event said: “Other venues are also putting on live music that evening, it would be fantastic if the event could encourage more people out to enjoy some of the great live music in our town”

Other evening venues include The Wheatsheaf in Frankwell who will be playing host to the N’ukes, a group who are coming along from Cheshire to take part in the Big Busk both during the day time event as well their performance at night.

The N’ukes from Nantwich said: “ We love the concept of the whole event and are really glad we offered to take part. Anyone coming to listen to us can expect ukulele rock, rhythm and blues but no Formby!”

The event on Saturday 6th April is being organised by family and friends of Ben Bebbington who was killed in Shrewsbury last September. As well as paying tribute to Ben on what would have been his 44th birthday it is hoped it will raise awareness and funds for the Shrewsbury Ark , a charity that had supported Mr Bebbington in recent years.

The day will involve music being performed in various locations around the town from 10am. Performances will cover a whole range of musical genres from opera and classical to contemporary and folk.
