Jennifer Rowe, 47, died at Princess Royal Hospital, where she was being treated for injuries sustained during the fire.
Ms Rowe was rescued following a fire in a bedroom of the mid-terraced house in Brecknock Court, Leegomery. She was taken to hospital by ambulance.
The fire broke out just before 10.30pm on New Year’s Day with firefighters from Wellington and Telford attending the scene.

They used breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets and one covering jet to put out the fire.
The cause of the fire is not believed to be suspicious.
