Firefighters from Shrewsbury, Telford Central, and Wellington responded to a car fire on the A5 between Shrewsbury and Telford on Sunday afternoon.
The fire was reported at 2.21pm, and crews arrived to find a saloon vehicle fully engulfed in flames in a layby.
Firefighters utilised breathing apparatus and two hosereel jets to extinguish the blaze.
Police were called to the scene to assist with traffic management.
The Environment Agency was also notified.
