The A5 Eastbound between Shrewsbury and Telford was closed for a time this afternoon following a fire involving a coach.

Firefighters were called to the incident in a layby, not far from Junction 7 of the M54, at just after 2.30pm.
Police closed the A5 Eastbound whilst the fire that destroyed the coach was dealt with.
Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service reports those on board had managed to exit the coach safely.
Three fire appliances from Shrewsbury and Wellington attended along with an operations officer.
Firefighters wearing Breathing Apparatus used hosereel jets to extinguish the fire.
One lane of the A5 was opened around 30 minutes after the fire was fully extinguished.
