14-year-old boy dies after being struck by train in Shrewsbury

A teenager who was struck by a train at Harlescott Level Crossing in Shrewsbury yesterday has died.

The 14-year-old boy was taken to hospital following the incident at around 5.33am, but later died in hospital.

His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.

British Transport Police say the incident is not being treated as suspicious at this time.
