A woman in her 80s had her purse stolen after an unknown man entered her home in Telford.
The incident happened at around 9.45am on Thursday 18 August when the victim, a woman in her 80s, was at her home on Hadley Park Road, Leegomery.
The unknown man entered the property and said he was looking for someone, and then left the house, possibly on a bicycle. The woman later realised her purse had been taken.
The offender was described as a white man in his 30s who was sun-tanned with dark hair. At the time of the incident he was wearing a black jacket.
Investigating officer DC Paul Brannan said: “The person responsible for this took advantage of a vulnerable woman, and we are working to identify them as quickly as possible. If any members of the local community thinks they may have seen something relevant to our investigation we are urging them to get in touch. Please call us on 101 quoting incident reference 308s of Thursday 18 August.”
