Witnesses sought following serious collision in Cross Houses

Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious collision on the A458 at Cross Houses near Shrewsbury last night.

The collision occurred at 7.49pm and involved a Mini Cooper and an Audi A6. The mini cooper was travelling in the direction of Cross Houses and the Audi A6 was travelling in the opposite direction when they were in collision.

Both drivers sustained serious injuries, and substantial damage was caused to both vehicles.

Road closures were in place following the incident.

Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision or who may have seen either vehicle beforehand to contact police by calling 101 and quoting incident number 604 of 16 September.
