Man attacked in Telford by group with metal bars

Police are appealing for witnesses after three men yesterday assaulted another man with metal bars in the Leegomery area of Telford.

The victim, a 24-year-old man, sustained several minor injuries requiring treatment at Princess Royal Hospital following the incident which happened at around 5.40pm on Hurleybrook Way.

The offenders are described as Asian. It is not yet known whether the offenders are known to the victim.

PC Iain McIntosh, the investigating officer, said: “We are taking this incident very seriously and are eager to hear from anyone who witnessed the assault or any suspicious activity in the area at the time.”
