Police are appealing for witnesses and information after two men tried to snatch a dog from a 19-year-old man in the Leegomery area of Telford.
The incident happened on Tuesday 26 May between 6.15pm and 6.45pm at the Leegomery Centre.
The victim, a 19-year-old man, was sat with his dog on the grass verge behind the shops on the walkway, when he was approached by two men. One of the men proceeded to push the victim and then grabbed his dog. However, the dog managed to escape the offender’s grasp and returned to its owner. The victim was not injured during the incident.
The two men are believed to be in their late 20s and were wearing dark tracksuits, with one having a distinctive gold watch on his right wrist.
Anyone with information, or who saw two men of this description in the area at the time, is asked to call police on 101 quoting incident 568S of Tuesday 26 May.
