Livestock die in north Shropshire farm building fire

Around 60 pigs died when the severe fire broke out in a traditional construction farm building at 4am this morning.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service used three main jets, 2 hose reel jets and two large portable pumps to tackle the blaze. Fire Service Personnel also engaged in damping down and protecting surrounding buildings.

Appliances from Market Drayton, Newport, Oswestry and Prees attended the fire at Westcott Lane, Goldstone, Cheswardine.
