Emergency Services attend to a number of traffic accidents this afternoon

Just after lunchtime crews were called to Swancote, Bridgnorth after a car and motorcycle collided. Shropshire Fire and rescue attended to make the vehicles safe while ambulance crews assisted a male casualty.

In Bomere Heath another accident involving two vehicles was attended to just after 3pm, while around the same time two fire appliances and paramedics attended a road traffic collision in Cross Houses, Shrewsbury with one female casualty released by paramedics.

Drivers are being warned to take extra care as today’s rainfall made roads slippery, after the recent dry weather. With heavy rain forecast for Shropshire tonight and in the early hours this could make driving condition more treacherous.
