Hot on the heels of last week’s London Marathon, local runners will be taking to the streets of Shrewsbury on Sunday 21 June for the Nuffield Health Shrewsbury Half Marathon.
There is still time to sign up to the half marathon and join the team running on behalf of Severn Hospice.
Mike Perry, Community Fundraising Advisor at Severn Hospice, commented: “Whether you are a seasoned marathon runner looking for a good cause to run for, or you are putting on your running shoes for the first time; if you’re interested in running the half marathon in Shrewsbury, please consider running as part of the Severn Hospice team. The sponsorship money you raise will make a huge difference to people locally.
“Even if you have never attempted a half marathon before, but are inspired after watching the London Marathon, it is not too late to start training. We have teamed up with a long distance running instructor, who has generously offered to provide free coaching and training advice to anyone running the half marathon in aid of Severn Hospice.”
