Hollyoaks star joins Wolverhampton Grand Theatre panto cast

Joe-Tracini-Buttons

With Julian Clary already confirmed as top of the bill for Wolverhampton Grand Theatre’s pantomime, Cinderella, the Theatre has announced that Hollyoaks star Joe Tracini will join the cast as Cinderella’s loveable friend Buttons.

Joe Tracini has become a household name as Dennis Savage in the Channel 4 soap Hollyoaks. Since joining the series in 2011 he has earned a nomination for Best Comedy Performance at the British Soap Awards. Prior to Hollyoaks Joe Tracini played Spike Bannon in My Spy Family, and Darren ‘DK’ Karrimore in BBC Three’s Coming of Age. Alongside recognition for his comedy Joe has also won plaudits for his talents as a magician.

Cinderella is presented by renowned pantomime producer Qdos Entertainment, who staged last year’s acclaimed production of Sleeping Beauty starring Joe Tracini’s father Joe Pasquale.

Jonathan Kiley, Executive Producer of Cinderella, said “Joe’s talent as a comedian is widely recognised and I can’t think of anyone better suited to playing Buttons in this year’s show. I’m absolutely delighted to have him in the cast of what promises to be our biggest and best Wolverhampton pantomime yet!”

Grand Theatre Chief Executive Peter Cutchie said, “I’m so pleased that Joe will be following in his father’s footsteps this year on our stage joining Julian Clary in what will be a truly spectacular family pantomime,”

Cinderella is at Wolverhampton Grand Theatre from Sat 6 Dec 2014 to Sun 18 Jan 2015. Tickets are available from the ticket office on 01902 429212 or online at www.grandtheatre.co.uk.
