In an age when businesses are cutting back on face to face contact in favour of internet technology, one local estate agent has announced that it has tripled its staff.

Patrick Smitheman, Managing Director of Harwood The Estate Agent of Broseley, said the long-established firm had grown from five to 15 in recent times.
The reason? Patrick strongly believes in what he describes as the ‘personal approach’ to estate agency activity.
“There are many estate agents who have gone down the internet route, but we continue to feel very strongly towards one-to-one communication.
“We really believe it is important for members of the public to have a contact, someone they can work directly with and feel comfortable with when dealing with all property related matters.
“As long as the industry and business keeps improving, I am very focused on further enlarging the Harwood team. A concentration of such a mass of experience and professionalism in one place can only be the ideal situation for someone dealing with their most important asset.”
He added: “People are encouraged to visit our website, but at the same time we place a lot of store on clients talking to a member of staff, creating that special relationship that will enable us to conclude a deal swiftly and best meet the needs of the client.”
