Harwood Shropshire Limited has expanded the property rental team at their Broseley office.
Heather Day, 25, has been recruited as rental lettings negotiator, whilst Sam Moore, 43, is their new assistant property manager.
Heather, who originates from Broseley, has two years previous experience in lettings which included responsibility for a portfolio of properties for sale.
She has been an estate agency office manager and has also sold properties – strengths she brings to Harwood Broseley.
In her new role at Harwood, she will be negotiating deals with landlords, creating appointments with tenants and landlords and ensuring all applicants are referenced and suitable for the properties they have applied for as well as responsibility for the moving in process.
Although she now lives in Bridgnorth, she said: “I know Broseley so well and I wanted to join Harwood because they are so well known and well thought of and I want to be part of a company with a good reputation and one in which I can grow in.”
Sam, of Much Wenlock, is responsible for liaising between tenants and landlords, particularly on the maintenance side of properties.
“It is important that landlords adhere to legal requirements, particularly gas safety issues, so liaising between tenants, landlords and contractors is an important part of the complete process. And we manage in excess of 300 properties throughout Shropshire,” said Sam.
Although she is new to the property industry, she has 15 years’ experience in running a health club and being a personal trainer. Three years’ ago she started her own catering business, Wenlock Cake Company.
She still offers celebration cakes and four tier wedding cakes and is planning a ‘special’ cake to celebrate joining Harwood.
Harwood Broseley’s Managing Director Patrick Smitheman said he warmly welcomed the arrival of ‘two lovely young ladies Heather and Sam’ who would strengthen the rental department.
“But this is also tinged with some sadness that Daniel Edwards, who spent a very successful last 12 months with the company, has re-located to Leicester for personal reasons and we are sad to see him leave.”
