An award-winning regional PR agency is rounding off its most successful year-to-date with the marking of a major milestone this week.
Celebrations have been in full swing at Telford-based Zen Communications after the agency saw-in its eighth year in business this week, rounding off a fantastic year for the firm which has seen it secure a prestigious accolade, move to new premises, and strengthen its client portfolio.
Launched in 2007 by Felicity Wingrove, the agency has gone from strength-to-strength in the past eight years, providing strategic PR and copywriting support to a wealth of clients across Shropshire and the UK. In just the past 12 months alone, however, the agency has moved to a dedicated and much larger suite of offices, won the Best Place to Work accolade at the 2015 Shropshire Star Business Awards, unveiled a brand new website, and has significantly enhanced its portfolio of clients across both the copywriting and the reputation management sides of the business.
Felicity explained: “It’s been a hugely busy 12 months for us at Zen and celebrating eight years in business quite literally is the icing on the cake for what has turned out to be our best year yet! The early part of our agency’s life was spent in the midst of the recession and so we focused on slow and steady growth, but just a few years on we’re positively thriving and it’s all thanks to our dedicated team and our fantastic clients.
“We’ve also experienced a number of other successes recently, and the ongoing growth of our retained client portfolio and the move to a larger office suite, as well as the fabulous award win has really laid the foundations for the next phase of expansion we have planned here at Zen. Our focus in the year ahead is on developing even more bespoke solutions for our clients across the three core areas of our specialism – retail, leisure and tourism; professional services; and manufacturing and engineering. We’re also looking to expand our team with an office administrator or apprentice immediately, with more skilled copywriters and PR professionals taken on in the mid-term.
“I’m hugely proud of what we’ve achieved and our success so far is evidence that we’re doing something right. We’re confident that with the combination of a fantastic team, our strategic know-how and our ever fabulous-clients we’ll continue to thrive and prosper in the years ahead,” Felicity concluded.
