Showgoers will have the opportunity to ask the Madeleys team any questions they may have about renewable energy schemes, planning, property, estate management and rural business matters.

The team of specialists from Madeleys kicked off their first show season by giving free advice at Newport Show in July and are now preparing for the award-winning Burwarton Show on August 7 at Burwarton, Bridgnorth.

Paul Madeley, director, said: “We have all visited Shropshire’s agricultural shows in various guises in the past, but we have never actually exhibited as a company before so it’s new territory for us.

“Agricultural shows are an integral part of the farming community and we are very much looking forward to meeting people from all over the county and beyond.

“Running a farming business nowadays is not only hard work but also ever more complicated, with an array of issues now affecting farmers, rural landowners and rural businesses.

“It will be interesting to talk to farmers and rural business owners about how things are going for them, and hopefully we can give some useful advice and information to help them make the most of the opportunities that are out there.”

Mr Madeley said people were often unaware of the various financial incentives which were available to rural businesses.

He added: “We will be attending the show with plenty of examples of how people have successfully applied for grants and used them to expand their business.

“We have case studies of renewable energy schemes, such as biomass boilers, that have been funded through schemes like the Renewable Heat Incentive, and we’ll be happy to give people advice on any potential developments they might be considering.”

Mr Madeley said they were looking forward to supporting fellow Much Wenlock businessman Paddy Ryan by offering some of his products, including his famous pork pies, on the stand during the shows and a gift voucher for the butchers would also be on offer as part of the prize draw.

“We know for some the agricultural shows, which are now so much more than that too, are an important day out for those who dedicate so much of their time to their job.

“We hope they enjoy the shows and we look forward to meeting clients past and present,” he added.
