Carewatch (Mid Shropshire), based at Stafford Park, Telford, has created a series of short videos about the working relationship from both points of view.
The company has posted all the videos on it’s relaunched website this month.
Managing director Steve Harris said: “We wanted to show both potential clients and potential employees what we were about.
“I think the videos provide a clearer picture of how the industry works and in particular our company, it also brings the website to life and engages the person looking at it.
“We want to be a transparent company and the best way was to ask the people involved what they thought.
“All the videos add up to a total of four minutes so they are just quick, easy viewing but contain a real insight.”
The videos cover the training and recruitment of staff as well as following a new care worker to see what they do and how they get on.
The videos have been created in conjunction with Shropshire company Rainford Video and the new look website aims to be more informative with a new blog, new dementia specific page, newsletter on dementia awareness, funding section and new audio clips with comments from staff.
Carewatch (Mid Shropshire) launched in 1999 and has 75 carers providing services such as 24-hour care, adult care, care for children, live-in carers, personal care and risk assessments in the home.
This year the company aims to double the number of staff and Mr Harris said the revamped website will be a huge benefit to the recruitment process.
“The old website was a bit stagnant and out of date,” he said.
“We decided we wanted to revamp it to show what we were actually about and reflect the company and it’s values.
“Now people who are applying for jobs can get a good idea of what Carewatch (Mid Shropshire) does, what it stands for and what it expects from carers.”
