A Shropshire law firm has named Little Stars as one of its chosen charities for the year – and revealed that its offices in Shrewsbury are now open as collection points for the charity’s Christmas campaign.

Little Stars is a Shropshire-based charity that provides essential supplies for families facing financial hardship, and over the last four years its Christmas campaign has helped almost 1,500 children across the county, with thousands of gifts donated.
Lanyon Bowdler has now set itself up as a collection point for this year’s campaign where people can donate a gift by dropping off new, unwrapped toys in their original packaging at the firm’s offices in Shrewsbury.
Donations must be made by the end of the month, ensuring some festive magic will be experienced on Christmas Day by children who might otherwise have to go without a present this year.
Dawn Humphries, chair of the charity committee at Lanyon Bowdler, said: “Little Stars does a wonderful job in helping vulnerable families across Shropshire every day, which is why we are nominating them as one of our chosen charities for the next year.
“Part of our support also sees us getting involved in the Santa’s Little Stars campaign, which aims to spread Christmas magic to children who might otherwise go without a gift.
“Every child deserves to feel the magic of Christmas morning but for some families across Shropshire, the challenges of everyday life mean that gifts are out of reach.
“Little Stars wants to ensure that every child the charity supports, from birth to age 17, has a present to open this year.
“Donations can be dropped off at various points around Shrewsbury and we are also opening the doors at our offices in Abbey Lawn as a collection point for people wanting to leave gifts.
“The campaign closes on November 30 so time is limited and gifts need to be new, unwrapped toys in their original packaging.
“The Santa’s Little Stars campaign is going to make a real difference to many young children this Christmas and we hope as many people as possible will step forward and donate much-needed gifts to this worthy cause.”
A dedicated Santa’s Little Stars JustGiving page has also been set up by the charity at www.justgiving.com/campaign/santaslittlestars2025 for people who may want to make a cash donation in lieu of gifts.
