West Mercia Police is appealing for witnesses after an attempted arson took place in Leegomery, Telford last week.
The incident happened in Chepstow Drive between 11.30pm and 11.45pm on Thursday 16 June.
The victim, a man in his sixties, heard a loud bang from outside his house and went to investigate. He opened his front door and discovered a small pile of barbeque coals and aerosol cans that had been set alight. Two of the aerosol cans had exploded.
The fire service attended to extinguish the fire and police are currently appealing for information or any witnesses to contact them on 101, quoting incident number 929s of 16 June.
