A Shropshire business has expanded its team for the second time in a month after welcoming another new member.
Madeleys Chartered Surveyors have welcomed senior rural surveyor Charis Denham to the team just a few weeks after trainee surveyor Tom Bayliss.
Mrs Denham graduated from Harper Adams after studying rural enterprise and land management before embarking on a 13-year career at a Shropshire chartered surveyors firm where she became an associate and senior associate.
She joined Madeleys im March on a part-time basis after deciding to spend more time with her family.
Paul Madeley, director and founder of the Much Wenlock-based surveyors said Mrs Denham’s qualifications and experience makes her a great asset to the team.
He said: “Charis specialises in planning and evaluation work and at a time when there are major changes in the planning system, including new guidance on permitted developments which will open up a variety of possibilities for landowners in Shropshire, she will be a much welcome addition to Madeleys.
“With Tom also on board we are gearing up for a hugely successful 2015.”
Tom Bayliss moved back to Shropshire after working in Lincolnshire on estate management for the Tollemache family. He started at Madeleys as a trainee rural surveyor in February this year.
Mrs Denham, of Newtown, said she was looking to change her career and the reputation of Madeleys stood out.
She said: “I was looking for a part time opportunity which would allow me to spend more time with my children and the reputation of Madeleys that has been built up by Paul and Angela Cantrill stood out.
“I am extremely pleased to join the firm.”
