Everyone is invited to the Centre, on Battlefield Enterprise Park, Shrewsbury, this Saturday 5 November between 10am – 4pm to experience all that it has to offer to the general public and businesses alike.
The open day will mark the launch of the brand new Savour the Flavour Local Food Store which is stocked full of food and drink products from artisan producers within the heart of England region. A range of locally sourced sausages will also be available to buy in the Local Food Store to celebrate British Sausage Week – ideal for Bonfire Night bangers!
A number of producers will be carrying out tastings on the day including Smoke and Pickle sampling their cakes, Maynards Farm with bacon and sausages and Crumblicious will be demonstrating how to decorate cupcakes. Products from a number of the producers based at the Centre will also be available to try including Mr Moyden’s Handmade Cheese, Coopers Gourmet Sausage Rolls, The Flavoured Butter Co and Shrewsbury Bakehouse along with tastings of gingerbread from Image on Food.

The TASTE kitchen will be open for light lunches, all made with locally sourced ingredients, and you can learn about the programme of demonstrations and events regularly held at the Centre including a Winter Tasting Menu, Mini Cupcakes for Christmas and Cooking Fish with Fish in a Box.
Information will be available about other services available at Shropshire Food Enterprise Centre such as outside catering, team building days and conference and meeting room hire.
The open day is also the start of the new Centre opening hours. From Saturday you will be able to visit us Monday to Thursday 8.30am – 6pm, Friday 8.30am – 5pm and up until 17 December, Saturdays 10am-4pm.
