The awards are designed to recognise and reward excellence across the whole Asian dining sector in the UK and will go to the establishment or person who, in the eyes of the panel of expert judges, has made an exceptional contribution to the UK curry industry.

Chef Suree Coates today commented “We are so delighted. This came as a complete surprise, and to be recognised for our achievements by this highly prestigious award and be amongst such successful fellow nominees is way beyond our wildest dreams.”

Since their move from Ironbridge to the Forester Arms in Broseley, The King and Thai have been wowing customers from across the region, and beyond, with their focus on authentic Thai Cuisine, fusing with local ingredients including meats from the local butchers, 28 day aged steaks for their signature ‘Weeping Tiger’ free range eggs, and fresh fish from Birmingham market, which Suree goes to choose early every Friday morning, plus her incredible desserts..

Suree adds “We focus on the best the region has to offer, and ensure that all our ingredients are fresh, and true to traditions – using fresh herbs, and spices, enhanced by our own creations, and fresh sauces – we don’t use any artificial ingredients, and even grow some of them ourselves in our gardens at the rear”.

All awards will be presented by VIP guests including Lord Bradford in the presence of media at the Asian Curry Awards Ceremony on 16th October at the Lancaster London Hotel.

Suree concludes “We are so delighted to be nominated, and thank all our regular customers for their support and positive comments.”
