A Shropshire recruitment agency has extended its sponsorship of the main arena at the prestigious W100 Shrewsbury tennis tournament later this year.
DMOS People is excited to be part of the ITF World Tennis Tour event once again ahead of its return to The Shrewsbury Club between October 13-20.
The company’s backing means more spectators, around 650, will be able to enjoy world-class tennis from court-side seats in the DMOS People Arena, the Sundorne Road venue’s main show court.
Tickets for the newly-titled Lexus W100 Shrewsbury tournament, which attracts leading British and international players, will go on sale on June 1.
DMOS People’s support for the biggest women’s tennis event to be played in the UK this year, outside of the grass court season, does not end there.
The company is once again sponsoring the ball crew, which features pupils from local schools, as well as The Shrewsbury Club’s hospitality village.
Dave Courteen, The Shrewsbury Club’s managing director, said: “It’s fantastic that DMOS People are on board for a second year. It’s great news that Stuart Danks and the team will again be supporting the event.
“We are delighted the company will continue to be one of our main partners in bringing world-class tennis to Shrewsbury.
“We would not be able to hold an event of this stature without their support.
“The tournament is still five months away, but it will be here before we know it, so we have already put lots of exciting plans in place.
“Most of the sponsorship slots have been snapped up, which again underlines the wonderful support the W100 tournament receives from Shropshire’s business community.
“We will be holding a showcase event for potential new sponsors at The Shrewsbury Club on June 5, which will also be an opportunity to make sure our existing sponsors make the most of being involved with this event.
“We love hosting these wonderful tennis tournaments and have welcomed some of the world’s top players to Shrewsbury in previous years, so we expect another high-quality entry in October.”
Stuart Danks, managing director of DMOS People, said the company, which he launched in 2015, is looking forward to being involved with the high-profile tournament for the second time.
“It was very good last year,” he said. “If I’m honest, we didn’t quite know what to expect as it was our first year as a sponsor.
“When we were talking with Dave Courteen at the very beginning, we were just excited to be involved in an event that’s so prestigious in the tennis world that was coming here to Shrewsbury.
“After enjoying the experience so much, we asked literally the next day if we could sign up again as the tournament was brilliant.
“Our guests who attended throughout the week said it was bigger than they expected, with the hospitality excellent.
“The family fun day held on semi-finals day was also fantastic, so everyone just had an amazing time at The Shrewsbury Club.
“It was an easy decision to be involved again, so hopefully we can make help make the tournament even better this year.”
