She will be sharing her extensive knowledge of cupcakes and sugar craft, the latter of which she’s been trained in for nearly a decade and has delivered classes to her local college.
The prestigious spot at Cordon Vert is just one of a number of courses Claire will be heading up throughout the month with two others at Taste Kitchen in Shrewsbury. The first on 6th September will have you mastering the latest craze for cake pops, the small treat that’s a cross between a lollipop and a cake. For anyone who has dreamt about starting their own cupcake business then Claire’s course on 20th September is a must.

Having started her own business just over a year ago she has created a successful brand, its in constant demand for her delicious creations and is now being asked to run courses for some of the regions best know cookery venue, and she’s well placed to talk about the highs and lows of running a business in this competitive environment.
Its not all been plain sailing for Claire, this year after having to close her shop on Beatrice Street in Oswestry after footfall fell. But this hasn’t stopped her from continuing and growing her business. A fact she puts down to the quality of her work, unlike many commercial bakers Claire’s cakes are handmade and that includes the sugar craft decorations that are often mass-produced and bought in. It’s a selling point that has earned her a great reputation and much of her work has come via word of mouth.
