Organisers postpone Shrewsbury Fields Forever Festival

Organisers of Shrewsbury Fields Forever which was due to take place later this month have postponed the event until September it was announced today.

Festival organisers were let down down at the last minute by a production company leaving them no time to find a suitable replacement.

Forever Invasion Ltd, will continue to run Shrewsbury International comic festival as a free entry event on the previously scheduled 16th & 17th July dates and the music festival has been re-booked in the Quarry for the 16th, 17th and 18th September.

All tickets will be valid for the re-scheduled dates and ticketing queries should be directed to the point of purchase.

Councillor Alan Mosley, Leader of Shrewsbury Town Council said: “This is bad news caused by circumstances entirely outside the control or influence of Shrewsbury Town Council. Our officers have worked extremely hard to do absolutely everything possible to accommodate the event in and around the Quarry. We very much hope that the alternative arrangements will go ahead smoothly and will be a big success.”

The organisers will be issuing further details in due course.
