Brit Award winner Ms Dynamite to perform at Shrewsbury Fields Forever festival

Double BRIT Award and three time MOBO Awards and Mercury Music prize winning UK baseline, R&B and hip hop singer and rapper Ms Dynamite will bring something to the bill for everyone.

Boasting a back catalogue of award winning hits such as, ‘It takes more’, ‘Wile Out’ and ‘DY-NA-MI-TEE’, the English-born artist has in recent times collaborated with numerous current stars on the music scene including Redlight, DJ Zinc, Yasmin, Magnetic Man.

She has also provided vocals for Katy B on her highest ranking hit single ‘lights on’ which reached number 4 in the UK singles chart, helping to secure Katy B’s place as one of the UK’s current top female artists.

Ms Dynamite’s recent release, ‘Neva Soft’, produced by Labyrinth – music mogul Simon Cowell’s only non talent- show signing of the past six years, combines the popular baselines of today with her award winning voice to help secure her eighth top 40 UK hit.

Ms Dynamite will be joining the Saturday line-up of the three day music festival, which is held at the Shropshire Showground on Berwick Road from 14-16 September.

The live indie/electronic, music, art and comedy festival, opens at 6pm on the Friday for campers and the music kicks off with a host of well-known DJs and dance acts. Ms Dynamite will perform on the Saturday, ahead of the main headline act, platinum selling alternative/indie band, The Wombats.

In a new twist to the festival format, acoustic music and comedy will close the event on the Sunday, with a bevvie of as-seen-on TV comedians, including Andrew Maxwell and more yet be announced.

Dene Edwards, festival organiser, said: “We are ecstatic to be adding Ms Dynamite to the bill. Her name and style crosses the generations to provide something for everyone.

“The acts we have announced to date for the line-up indicate what truly is a strong and diverse line-up for this year’s show. Watch this space for more exciting announcements over the coming weeks. Limited Early bird tickets are available through the site but are expected to sell out soon.”
