Radfield Home Care, which has branches in Shrewsbury, Worcester, Stafford and Chester, is advising families with an elderly relative about the wide range of care services available to them, from getting a little extra help with the housework or laundry, through to respite, dementia or palliative care.

The report published by national charity Age UK found that 410,000 older people in the country have an unmet care related need, despite a wide range of support services readily available to them.

Dr Hannah MacKechnie, Director of Radfield Home Care, said: “This research demonstrates that too many people are going without the support they need, while a huge and growing burden is being placed on family and friends, many of whom feel unable to cope.”
