A sustainability-focused digital marketing agency based in Shrewsbury has strengthened its commitment to local community initiatives by pledging £1,000 to Shrewsbury Food Hub, a local organisation that rescues food which would otherwise be destined for landfill, and redistributes it to local communities.

As part of its company commitment to donate at least 3% of annual revenue to social and environmental causes, GrowRoom gives each full-time employee £1,000 per year to contribute to a charity of their choice. This year, GrowRoom’s Head of Paid Media, Ben Jackson, chose Shrewsbury Food Hub as his nominated charity.
Representatives from the Food Hub recently visited GrowRoom’s Shrewsbury office to meet the team, share insights into their work, and discuss the ongoing partnership.
“Shrewsbury Food Hub plays a really important role in supporting people across our community,” said Ben Jackson. “We’re proud to support a local organisation making such a direct and meaningful impact.”
“We’re incredibly grateful to GrowRoom for choosing Shrewsbury Food Hub as one of their charities, generously donating over £1,000.” Said Cherry Teearu, Fundraiser from the Shrewsbury Food Hub. “It was great to visit their team to say thank you, share some surplus treats and chat more about how their environmental values align with our work. By supporting our charity, GrowRoom is helping to nourish our local community while tackling food waste to protect the environment.”
