STAR Housing, an arm’s length management organisation that manages and builds homes for Shropshire Council, has celebrated the completion of its latest development, Aspen Grange.

The project, built by Harper Group, comprises 40 high-quality, affordable homes, including 36 for affordable rent and 4 for shared ownership.
The development offers a mix of house types, including bungalows and homes specifically designed for older residents. All properties are energy-efficient and include features like air source heat pumps and solar panels. A community room within the development fosters social interaction among residents.
At a recent celebration event, residents shared their positive experiences, praising the quality of their homes and the improved quality of life they now enjoy.
“I’m overall really happy with my new home. It’s perfect for my family,” said Sammie Lewis, a new resident.
“I love the new bungalow. It was difficult downsizing, but STAR Housing helped make the moving process less stressful,” added Mandy Davies, another resident.
“We are committed to building homes that truly meet the needs of the local community,” commented Harpreet Rayet, Managing Director of STAR Housing.
The development is part of STAR Housing’s ongoing efforts to address Shropshire’s housing needs by providing a range of affordable and sustainable housing options for the local community.
