Shropshire wedding suppliers create styled shoot in grand design wedding venue project

Some of the best and well-known wedding suppliers in Shropshire have come together to create a styled shoot with a difference at a “grand design” wedding venue project.

Whilst weddings as we have “normally” known them have been on hold for over a year due to lockdown and COVID-19 restrictions, there has been a lot of activity in the background with some suppliers.

Styled shoots have become a way for many wedding suppliers to come together and showcase their work, creativity and services to prospective brides and grooms.  They’ve been especially important to many businesses with no weddings to deliver to create new content and generate awareness.

This month however a team of suppliers got together at what will be a brand new wedding venue in Shropshire that hasn’t been finished yet!  Stockton House near Bridgnorth and Ironbridge, will be a new venue opening in April 2022 and the grade II* listed building still has over six months of renovation work and an exclusive restaurant yet to be built.  But from the photographs captured on the shoot will clearly be a beautiful and luxurious destination venue for many happy couples next year.

Nicola Gough, wedding photographer, and organiser of the styled shoot explained:

It goes without saying that this has been a tough year for many wedding suppliers, but especially for couples who haven’t been able to get married in the last 12 months as they hoped.  I have been desperate to get out with my cameras and take photographs and so I reached out to Stockton House after reading about their new project.

Stockton House has all of the ingredients to be an incredible wedding venue when it opens and so I wanted to work with a great team to put together a shoot with a difference.  We wanted to show what the house and the venue could be like.  What those moments the camera captures could show when weddings will be held here next year.

It tested our creativity, but with so many amazing features, stunning views and a bit of luck with great weather, I’m so pleased with the images we managed to get.

The styled shoot also had the input of florists, stylists, wedding dress maker, stationery, videographer, hair and make-up, jewellery, suits and of course confetti!  Just showing how much work and time goes into not only photo shoot planning, but the wedding itself.

Jonathan Carter- Morris, Executive Chef at Stockton House said:

We absolutely loved the styled shoot at Stockton and it was just nice to be able to host people and make some great food and serve a glass or two of sparkling wine.  Stockton will be all about creating moments and memories and it’ll be a wedding venue like no other.  Hosting the styled shoot has got us even more excited about opening our doors next April.
