A Shropshire school has been awarded the prestigious Eco-Schools Green Flag award for its efforts to promote sustainability and raise environmental awareness.
Following Shrewsbury Town Council’s repurchase of the controversially sold and long unused parcel of land at Greenfields Recreation Ground, the Council’s staff have been working hard to reclaim the land to enable it to be fully open for public use.
£30,000 is planned to be invested into improvements to Greenfields parkland thanks to efforts of local volunteers and funding secured by the community group.
