Not only was it a weekend filled with fun, but the first Shropshire Kids Festival was also a charity fundraising sensation.
The final total raised by visitors to the festival from various rides and activities is a sensational £3557.33 all of which goes to the Harry Johnson Trust.
The Trust was set up in 2014 in memory of seven year old Harry Johnson who died following a nine-month fight with Double Hit Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. It offers help and support to children and teenagers who receive care from the Oncology Team at The Princess Royal Hospital in Shropshire.
The organisers would like to thank everyone for contributing to such a great total and acknowledge their sponsors Monks Estate & Letting Agents and Nick Jones Wealth Management for their support.
The event was such a success that a date for 2017 has been announced. The next Shropshire Kids Festival will take place on 13 and 14 May 2017 and organisers are hoping even more money can be raised next year.
