The Highways Agency has only recently completed a road widening scheme at the roundabout, which involved changing the road markings. However this led to a large amount of congestion as the road markings designated the left hand lane as left turn only this caused tailbacks in the right hand lane.
The Highways Agency agreed in March to make changes to the road layout to remove these congestion problems.
The work over the next few nights will be an interim measure before permanent signage is erected shortly after Easter.
Shrewsbury MP Daniel Kawczynksi said: “I am delighted that the Highways Agency has listened to the concerns of mine and my constituents, the layout changes they recently made appear to have increased congestion as well as causing a safety issue. This was particularly pertinent in the mornings as people took their children to school, went to work and farmers took their cattle and sheep to the market in heavy goods vehicles.”
