Sainsbury’s gets approval for Market Drayton store

The new store will offer a wide range of Sainsbury’s popular food and non-food products.
The new store will offer a wide range of Sainsbury’s popular food and non-food products.

The new store will create up to 200 full and part-time job opportunities for local residents.

Jo Hawley, Sainsbury’s Regional Development Surveyor, says: “We are delighted with the planning committee’s decision. Not only will our foodstore create jobs for Market Drayton’s local community, it will also improve the choice of places where local residents can go to for their main shopping.

“We will now need to finalise the legal agreements associated with the decision before looking at the construction programme. We will keep the community informed of our progress.”
