The 18-year-old man is charged with the murder of Danny Jones, 21, of Chirk who died in hospital after suffering a single stab wound to the abdomen following the incident at the Lord Street car park shortly before 8.20pm on Wednesday.
The teenager who has been charged is a local to the Oswestry area and is due before Shrewsbury Magistrates Court on Monday.
He was arrested a few hours after the attack and charged on Saturday evening after police were given extra time to question him. He has been remanded in custody.

Detectives working on the investigation have recovered a knife in the Lord Street area which they believe to be the murder weapon.
