This weekend the 13 and 14 December will see the National Trust’s Dudmaston Estate open their gates to visitors for the last time in 2014.
Dudmaston is a National Trust property situated approximately 3 miles outside of Bridgnorth covering over 3,000 acres which includes managed woodlands, 4 mixed agricultural farms, the Village of Quatt, Dudmaston Hall and gardens. Dudmaston has been in the same family for over 850 years and is still very much a family home today.
Visitors are being invited to refresh themselves with an escape from the usual Christmas mania, that everyone gets drawn into at this time of year, by enjoying a fantastic Winter walk through the ancient wooded Dingle; returning to the tea room for freshly prepared treats and snacks, and a chance to see the exhibition of winning photographs from this year’s competition.
The property’s shop will also be open offering a fantastic range of gifts; stocking fillers; and some very tempting special offers. Why not take a look at their ever popular range of cards, crackers and calendars, which this year includes the very first Dudmaston calendar, featuring the winners of last year’s photographic competition.
General Manager, Marcus Halliwell, has praised all the staff and volunteers who have worked hard this year to make this season a huge success:
“we have had a fantastic year, and have seen our visitor numbers increase significantly on previous years. This is our last weekend for 2014 and we look forward to welcoming our visitors to enjoy the park land and all it has to offer. I would also like to take this opportunity on behalf of all the staff and volunteers at Dudmaston to wish everyone a Happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year. We look forward to welcoming you all again in 2015.”
