There are still spaces left for the event taking place at Iscoyd Park which will be running on Sunday September 28, 12-5pm.
Phil Godsal, who co-owns and runs Iscoyd Park with his wife Susie, said that all couples are welcome to visit and take part in the festivities which will follow the format of a wedding.
“The aim is to give couples undecided on where to get married a flavour of what they might expect if they choose Iscoyd Park as their venue,” said Mr Godsal.
“The team here will run the open day as we would a normal wedding, with guests given a glass of bubbly on arrival, canapés, the opportunity to explore the house and gardens, and to meet the staff.
“We try really hard to ensure that each and every wedding is exactly what the couple has in mind – we would like to think we’re doing something right as we’ve had a fair bit of success in competitions.
“For instance, we are delighted that Iscoyd Park has been shortlisted for Best Venue at this year’s Perfect Wedding Awards, and is a past winner of Hudson’s Heritage Awards in the same category.”
Mr Godsal added that because of a restriction on numbers, it is crucial that anyone who wishes to visit the open afternoon arranges a time slot beforehand.
“There are still some spaces available on the Sunday but, because we want all those who come on the day as personal, informative and fun experience as possible, there is a limit on numbers so we advise booking a time slot without delay,” he said.
“We don’t want this to be a conventional open day – we really want people to get an accurate feel of what they might experience if they get married here with all the rooms arranged exactly as they would be for a wedding.
“It also provides an excellent opportunity for guests to meet the team, including the in-house caterers, the spa beauticians and of course all the other Iscoyd staff.”
