The three-day Insomnia i49 event is being staged at Telford International Centre from Friday until Sunday and has attracted the best gaming experts in the world who will compete for thousands of pounds worth of prizes.
Gaming enthusiasts from all over come together to celebrate every aspect of gaming in a festival atmosphere and take the opportunity to try out the latest games and equipment from the major manufacturers.
Local IT specialists Midland Computers of Halesfield in Telford are attending for the third time and showroom manager Paul Lough said: “Although we are better known for our corporate services, we are really excited to be taking part as several of our staff are seriously dedicated online gamers in their spare time and we do supply top end gaming machines to a wide range of customers.
“Manufacturers such as AOC, Turtle Beach, Gigabyte and Startec have come up with a vast array of prizes for us to give away at the event and we will also be showcasing some of our latest bespoke gaming PCs and high end machines in very bright colours including Orange and Lime Green, which are all the latest craze.
“We are also staging daily competitions on our stand using old classic games such as Frogger and Warblade so that everybody is on the same level, but we will also feature the more serious stuff like Planetside 2 for the more advanced players.”
