A Shropshire childcare company is celebrating after being awarded the Businesses for Children awards – Nursery/preschool Award 2018.

Little Green House Childcare, which operates across three settings in Shropshire and South Staffordshire, received the award in recognition of their outstanding Early Years programme.
The Businesses for Children awards highlight local companies that educate, support and provide activities for children and young people.
After rebranding last year, the nursery continues to champion new ways of working at its settings in Bridgnorth, Bobbington and Claverley.
Forest school sessions, yoga and sensory play are just some of the exciting activities offered to children and their families.
Hannah Vyse, Director said she was delighted to receive the award on behalf of the team.
“The whole team work so hard to make sure that the children in our care receive the very best support. I’m really thankful to our families who understand the importance of delivering a childcare programme that not only teaches but enriches our children’s lives.
“Nature is at the heart of what we do at Little Green House. Seasonality guides our learning and this connection allows us to promote emotional awareness and wellbeing among our children.”
Laura Hopley, awards judge and Head of Lawley Village Primary Academy said:
“The use of more environmentally friendly materials and excellent use of their outdoor spaces and forest school areas supports the nursery’s ethos of outdoor and sustainable learning.
“There is obvious drive and plans for ways to continue to improve the nursery with new activities and ways of working in the pipeline which will only serve to strengthen the excellent practise already on display.”
