Shropshire Chamber of Commerce held a networking lunch for county business people at Weston Park stately home, near Shifnal.
Guests were given a brief guided tour of the renowned country house taking in the Library, Drawing Rooms, Salons, Tapestry Room and Marble Halls, before sitting down to lunch.
Weston Park general manager Ross Twiname, said: “We are pleased to welcome members of the Shropshire business community to this splendid house which dates back to 1671 and is set in 1,000 acres of beautiful parkland.
“Besides large events such as the V-Festival and Game Fair, we also host weddings, corporate and private conferences and functions and have a total of 28 bedrooms as well as individual cottages in the grounds.
“One extended family of around 60 people has already booked the whole house for the Christmas period this year, so with our fully professional staff of chefs and butlers we hope to give them a real ‘Downton’ experience.”
Shropshire chamber event organiser, Teresa Rowe, added: “Weston Park is a chamber member and committed supporter so we are delighted to be able to bring fellow business people along to network in such a relaxed and fabulous setting and to enjoy a fine lunch.
“As a chamber we are always looking to provide unique venues and events for our members and we were pleased to see a wide variety of professions networking here today including banks, solicitors, accountants, property and vehicle dealerships.”
