Shropshire Chamber of Commerce held its AGM and Christmas lunch at the Buckatree Hall Hotel in Telford on Friday.
Seventy five members and guests attended the seasonal event and raised well over £1,000 for the Midlands Air Ambulance charity through a raffle and auction of donated prizes.
Chamber member Maria Jones of the MAA charity said: “Once again the business community of Shropshire has shown its generosity by raising this fantastic amount of money.
“The MAA receives no government funding at all and requires over six million pounds each year just to function, so we are extremely grateful to the many businesses, groups and individuals from across the wonderful county of Shropshire who work so hard to raise money for our charity.”
Event organiser, Teresa Rowe, of Shropshire Chamber, added: “Once the official business of the annual general meeting has been completed and new committee members Chris Greenough and Mandy Thorne elected, it was good to see members and colleagues enjoying themselves while networking over lunch.
“Thanks must go to the many people and firms, many of whom could not attend, but who donated such a wide variety of splendid prizes to help raise essential funds for the Midlands Air Ambulance.”
