Shrewsbury based distributor Pipekit is set to revolutionise how we fasten pipes, as it gains exclusive UK distributing rights for Kwik Block in the pipework and mechanical services markets.
Kwik Block – the quick and versatile fastening technology – has been something of a secret weapon in the UK dairy engineering industry for some years now. But working alongside Kwik Block UK, Pipekit is set to help bring the brand to the forefront of all UK industries.
Available online or via Pipekit’s trade counter in Annscroft, Kwik Block is a universal plastic pipe clamp that’s UV resistant and designed to work with any pipework, tubing or cabling. It requires the use of a simple cable tie, jubilee clip or any other fastening device. A feature that makes it extremely quick and versatile and sees just two sizes accommodate a wide range of different sized pipe or tubing.
Excited about the new distribution alliance, Martyn Rowlands, M.D of Pipekit said: “Kwik Block is an innovative yet simple product that complements our existing product portfolio and will be of great interest to our customers. When customers see just how simple the product and process is, it will revolutionise the way they fasten pipework going forward.”
He continues: “Taking on new and innovative products is at the very heart of our distribution business and the Kwik Block alliance will help further strengthen our offering and grow our business.”
Kwik Block is made from a strong, high density, co-polymer polypropylene, it’s impervious to water, UV rays, corrosion and chemicals. Making this versatile fastening solution suitable for a range of hostile environments, across various industries.
Up until now, Kwik Block, an American technology, has been distributed solely in the UK via Vaccar, a long established UK family business based in Gloucestershire. Vaccar has been using Kwik Block within the design and installation of its milking parlours for nearly 15 years and due to the success, Kwik Block USA and Vaccar looked to expand the distribution relationship across both the UK and Europe. This led in March 2015 to Vaccar setting up a stand alone Kwik Block UK business. The latest alliance with Pipekit is key to the UK growth plan.
Commenting on the new Pipekit partnership, Simon Larner, Managing Director of Kwik Block UK said: “We’re delighted to be working with a leading pipework distributor and see Pipekit as perfectly placed to distribute and promote Kwik Block in the UK. Pipekit is already working in industries where Kwik Block is perfectly suited so we’re looking forward to seeing strong results.”
