7 Energy, which is a leading installer of wood pellet boilers and solar PV, has moved its base of operations from its previous home in Welshpool to new offices on Harlescott Lane, in Shrewsbury.
The move follows a successful year for the business and at a time when the renewable energy sector is preparing for significant growth.
Managing director of 7 Energy, Martin Dowley, explains: “A number of factors are coming together that are really opening people’s eyes to the practicality and efficiency of having renewable sources of heat and power in their homes and businesses.
“We expect this to make a big impact on 2015 for the sector and we are ensuring we are in a position to serve our customers in the way they expect and deserve.
“Our new home at Harlescott Barns is ideal, being close to the commercial and residential heart of the county, but still having that rural feel that makes Shropshire special.”
7 Energy undertakes a diverse range of projects, from domestic installations of solar PV, solar thermal and wood pellet boiler systems to farm-based solar arrays and heating installations to power business premises.
Mr Dowley added: “People are feeling a growing unease about whether the UK as a whole has got its energy policy right and whether costs – and even the reliability of electricity supply – are fully under control.
“With incentive payments available, the ability to take your heat and power generation into your own hands becomes increasingly attractive, especially as the costs of doing so also continue to fall.
“My team and I are all set for a busy year and this move into Shrewsbury is an important component of continuing to drive the business forward and be able to meet growing customer demand around renewable energy installations.”
