The news comes just weeks after announcing that it had achieved record-breaking sales, with turnover up by more than £1 million in just six months.
Joining two other trailers in the exhibition fleet, the new trailer is fitted with a working OkoFEN boiler to allow Organic Energy’s installers to demonstrate how it operates to prospective purchasers. The pioneering company, one of the forerunners of low carbon heating technology in the UK, is in regular attendance at county shows and specialist events around the country and the new trailer will allow the team of installers to attend even more events where there is interest. By the end of this year alone, the team will have attended a staggering 24 separate events.
Managing Director of Organic Energy, Andy Boroughs comments on the further growth of the business and increased interest from consumers: “Government incentives coupled with further innovation in alternative heating technology has meant that interest in the sector over the last year has grown like never before. In order to keep up with this interest we decided to purchase a third trailer from OkoFEN.
“The Renewable Heat Incentive which has been available to the commercial sector for three years has now been extended to the domestic sector and we anticipate that this will push interest and therefore growth further still.”
In the commercial sector, a 56kw ÖkoFEN automatic boiler using an average of 22.4 tonnes of wood pellets a year can attract a commercial RHI payment of £7,074 compared to the cost of the fuel at £5,152 ex VAT. At the other end of the scale, the 8kw boiler for domestic use would attract £1,010, against a pellet cost of £736.
Organic Energy will be attending the Oxfordshire County & Thame Show, The Malvern 3 Counties Show, Earth Fest and Hereford Energy Show during the remainder of 2014.
