Tim Shrosbree, of Shrosbree Indoor Golf and Performance Centre, based near Shrewsbury, has worked with the England football team and Premier League football clubs when players are fitted with high quality golf clubs.
He is now launching team building sessions for businesses across Shropshire and said there was something to be learned from the winning ethos of successful sporting teams.
Mr Shrosbree said: “When you are working with people at the very top of their profession, things like teamwork and motivation are incredibly important because they can make the difference between success and failure.
“For instance, all Premier League footballers have immense technical ability so clubs do a lot of work to improve the mental side of their game – how they deal with pressure by working as a team and that sort of thing.
“We play our part by providing some light relief with our mobile golf simulator and advising them on how to improve their golfing technique.”
Mr Shrosbree said the experience of working at such high performing organisations had helped inspire Shrosbree Golf’s team building events.
“We can tailor the sessions individually for a business depending on their needs,” he said.
“They can range from a simple nearest the pin competition, which is great fun, to a complex session to help staff embrace change or develop their leadership qualities.

Shrosbree Indoor Golf and Performance Centre gives people the chance to play on 80 courses around the world by using state-of-the-art widescreen simulators.
They also have a mobile simulator which formed the basis of the sessions with Manchester City, Manchester United and England footballers.
Mr Shrosbree said: “We were invited to take our mobile simulator as part of the Orka golf club fitting service because we are a Centre of Excellence for the Orka brand.”
