With the focus on ‘Inspiring Change’ the event was organised by UK Female Entrepreneur Ambassador, Teresa Boughey, head of Jungle HR based at Shifnal, and attracted a wide range of delegates from around the UK.

Two of the principal speakers were Shropshire-based Jan Minihane, of the Net Advantage, who spoke on the benefits of social media, and Deborah Mitchell, of Heaven by Deborah Mitchell, who talked about the success of her global cosmetics company.

Exhibiting at the conference was corporate merchandising specialist Kathryn Holloway of Bridgnorth-based Promofix, who said: “As a former young entrepreneur winner myself it is good to be involved with so many successful women who have risen to the top of the chosen careers and the speakers have been both informing and entertaining.”

Jungle HR took the opportunity to launch its new ‘JEWEL Programme’ which stands for Jungle’s Empowering Women to Excel in Leadership and Teresa Boughey commented: “Statistics show that women are good for business yet numbers reaching the top levels of management are still poor.

“JEWEL identifies the reasons for this lack of progress and helps build strategies which will revolutionise businesses.”

Former television news presenter Arti Halai was compere for the conference and other guest speakers included Lucy Matthews of Marvellous PR and Kathy Crewe-Read, head teacher of Wolverhampton Grammar School.

Jungle HR’s chosen charity for the year is Breast Cancer Care and a talk was given to the assembled delegates followed by a collection that raised over £300.
