Expansion for Shropshire technology firm

Start Technology, which was founded in Bridgnorth 13 years ago, opened a second base at Battlefield Enterprise Park in March and has now boosted its team.

Chris Walker (28), who lives in Shrewsbury, has been headhunted from Shropshire Council, where he worked for 12 years in transport and education departments.

Working as a technician for Start Technology, which specialises in the supply and support of IT networks, he will provide frontline assistance for the firm’s growing client base, which includes Rowlands Fresh Produce and Locsafe Security Systems of Battlefield.

“We are delighted to have Chris on board – we are sure he will prove an asset to the team,” said Ian Groves, technical director of the firm, which also provides internet-based telephone systems.

“The company is aiming for further expansion in the future so this is a very exciting time for Start Technology.”
