Working in conjunction with Jan Minihane of The Net Advantage Ltd, the eight weekly workshops will cover aspects of the ever-expanding social media network including
Twitter, Facebook and Linkedin, as well as looking at blogging, strategies and latest developments.
Chamber managing director Richard Sheehan said: “This new and exciting partnership further demonstrates the Chamber’s commitment to support the business community and to promote economic wellbeing within the county, while ensuring that we are working with local quality providers.
“We have been aware of The Net Advantage for some time and of Jan’s provision and quality of training and advice in relation to social media and its importance as a marketing tool for any business.â€

Jan Minihane added: “As great a tool as social media can be, businesses have limited resources to do it well.
“These courses, open to anyone and each covering a completely separate aspect of Social Media, will help people identify where their audience is on-line and how best to get started or grow, and take advantage of this ever evolving online platform as efficiently as possible.
“Being very practical, the hands-on workshops will give participants the chance to actually get on-line and see these very different social medias in action, learn how to use them and see the benefits and opportunities that are available from them.
“The weekly half-day workshops starting on 25th January will take place in the Chamber offices at Trevithic House on Stafford Park in Telford and we have had a great deal of interest with several people booking their places already.â€
